If you’re a business owner the ultimate goal is to build the business to run itself.  The ultimate freedom.  Make money while your not working!

However, there’s the dream and then reality!  We feel like we just made huge strides in our business and then boom the world starts falling apart.  5 steps forward and 10 steps back can often seem the norm.

In some industries building a completely turn key operation without the owner being involved is a very tough if not impossible feat.  I know owners of landscaping companies producing $2M to $10M in gross revenue and they are still in there business day in day out.  And if they left the company would soon start to crumble.

The service industry is driven by people producing work not providing products.  Service businesses are extremely management intensive and require a lot of hand holding to manage and run.  I’m not saying it can’t be done but if you are looking for a passive income producing asset the service industry might not be your best bet!

The positive is life is about the journey and not the final destination. If you love what you do you will never work a day in your life.

Build  your business from day 1 with the best processes that work for your operation!  Rinse and repeat everyday and find tune it when needed.  You can reach freedom with the right structure and employees.
